About Me

Someone recently messaged me over facebook and asked me what I like to do. I think my response will give you some insight into who I really am and what I believe in!

——————————————————————————————————————-

Thanks for messaging me and for your kind words! I hope you are having a fantastic day right now :) Where are you from? I like a lot of things lol. I love to explore and try new things, I love to read, write, sing, dance… I love to be random and weird! I love the outdoors, and I absolutely love talking about life and science and things that I think are important. I’m not big into fashion or make up or celebrity gossip. I think it’s important to be a unique individual and embrace all of your quirks and what people may think of as ‘flaws’. I think we are all beautiful exactly the way we are, and that we should stop trying to impress everyone so much! Society is constantly telling us to be one certain image or thing, or that you will be cool if you buy this or that product. That really annoys me. I think what matters is that we are happy with who we are, that we respect ourselves and the world around us, and that we go after what we care about without hurting anyone in the process. Life is so short you know? Why waste it trying to be something we are not?

So I guess that’s me in a nutshell ;)  What do you like?

Poem

I wrote this poem for my parents for their birthday. Thought you guys might like it :)

****************************************************************************************************

The day is young whispered the early morning breeze,

Sunlight peering eagerly over the mountains

Ready, reaching for this new day

Aspiring to travel further than it had before

The moss covered the earth like a finely woven tapestry

Dew drops glossing the tips of pink rose petals

Coating them in reflective bliss

The river roars and waits for no one

Its function is to flow

We could learn a thing or two from the mighty river

The Oak tree stands proud in the clearing

Gnarled arms twisting into blue sky,

Reaching up towards our solar system’s star

Below, the wildflowers stained the hillside yellow

Making their mark upon the world

As birds sang a joyous tune of celebration

A symphony is rising

The orchestra of life

If we sit in silence we can listen

If we choose to wake we can understand

We are all a part of this beautiful symphony

Each one of us an instrument, a string, a flute

Through which the universe expresses love for all
