A deep sunset sets upon the ocean of my heart
Shedding tears of crimson starlight
Spilling sweet laughter past my lashes
With the thunder of a thousand golden beads upon blown glass
Warmth meets my lips in tender remembrance
My breath stolen by your summer kiss
I’m carried swiftly into silver meadow shadow
While I regenerate from bliss
Suspended high above the treetops
Surrender beckons me with delicate fingertip
Sharing secrets in the garden
Catalyst of everything we missed
Yours forever meets ours together
As we set out upon the teaching road of life
Sweet memories to guide us
And foreshadow our shared sight
True north upon my compass
Leads directly to your light

It’s so important to speak what’s in your heart. So often we keep quiet or soften our words so as not to create friction and pain. And sometimes we are so blinded by what others may think, or experience such fear that we remain silent. But what does that solve in the end? Are we not entitled to our opinions, have we not experienced truthful, damaging realities? It’s so crucial to use your voice. I don’t care if it takes you a month, 5 years, 10, 20, to express what is in your heart. If you have only found the courage now, then fantastic, use it. If you still haven’t, don’t worry, you have it in you. Everyone does. Life is short. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. Don’t wait until it’s too late to reveal your deepest desires or wounds. If someone matters to you, let them know. If you have been wronged by someone, let them know. It takes courage to speak the truth. We all seem to satisfy ourselves with half-truths, or convince ourselves that something doesn’t bother us as much as it does. Whatever you bury will resurface, and will gain strength every moment you avoid it or push it aside. This is your life. Do you understand that? This is YOUR LIFE. Every moment counts, every moment is of utmost importance. Don’t wait until you are at the end of it to face your demons. Chances are you wont have the time or resources to vanquish them by then. But you have now. Now is all you’ll ever have. And that’s a beautiful thing. So what are you going to choose to do with this moment? Are you going to fill it with meaningless things and emotions? You can, it’s absolutely your choice. Or will you choose to be bold and brave, and face whatever is holding you back so that you can grow exponentially and enjoy life free of the chains that bind you? Your choice. The moment is now.

Beauty
Can any one person be the judge?
Its definition varies
Like deep hues of gold fading against the evening sky
Its presence is intangible
Or ephemeral at the most
Such a word cannot be easily defined
But for many, easy to discern
Typically the modern man would cease this opportunity
To relate the “ideal” beauty of a woman
Perhaps one with golden locks cascading down her back
Or one with luscious curves that sway with guarded lust
For some, beauty lies in more simple things
Found in the twinkle of a child’s eyes upon his innocent face
Or in the wrinkles of an elderly man’s smile as he recalls his youth
For some it’s in a lovers gaze as they embrace a final time,
Their fingertips tracing a path so familiar and divine
There’s beauty in the paint cast upon a canvas in passionate rage
Or simply in the beating of a human heart
Beauty is not limited to fabrication
But lies within each of us in gentle slumber,
Awaiting revelation
